March Essay Writing Contest

Intro:Water splashing in your face, kids screaming, running, knowing they are free to go anywhere without getting into any trouble. Tubes shooting down the slides. Screams shooting down right after them. Little kids hopping across the lily pads trying not to get wet. The giant waves of the wave pool making the kids in tubes drift away back onto land just to make those kids try to get back into the water just to be drifted back out again. Then finally, the howling of the tornado comes as people scream for there very lives then the tornado swallows them whole and spits them back out 5 seconds later. It’s like a kid not eating his vegetables at dinner.

Three Things:One of the greatest places that I’ve ever been was the Grand Mound Great Wolf Lodge. Three things I’m going to talk about is the water park, a game there called MagiQuest, and just the hotel itself.

Body Paragraph 1:The water park was an amazing experience at the great wolf lodge. Dozens of rides for kids of any age. There was a kiddie pool for the kids. A giant water playset for the older kids. Finally the water slides for adults and teens and those few daredevil, try anything kids. Oh yeah I can’t forget the wave pool. So first, the kiddie pool was fun for me and it’s a kiddie pool. It was great for kids under the age of 5 and adults over the age of 60. Anyway, there were two slides there for the kids. One was in the shape of like a ship and the other had just a regular slide, so all in all it was good for kids. But, they also had these water guns coming out of a jetski or something like that. Next, the bigger water park for kids over the age of 8 was a pretty cool one. At the very tippy top was a bucket that holds up to 140 gallons of water and it dumps the entire bucket every 5 minutes. That’s a lot of water. As you scale this house like water castle, you’ll find tons of buckets full of water to dump on people, ropes to pull to dump water on people, and there you’ll find two water slides, a red and a yellow one. These water slides made you go pretty fast to. If you were in the right position. Next, there were these lily pads that floated in the water with a rope net above you and all you have to do is make it from one side to the other. Finally, the howling tornado, the grand daddy of them all the howling tornado. Imagine sliding down the belly of a beast then being spat out into a pool of water. The howling tornado is the biggest attraction of the great wolf lodge. Now that i'm done with my water fun its time to talk about a game there called MagiQuest.

Body Paragraph 2:MagiQuest is a game that takes you around the first five stories of the hotel. On the stairway you'll find talking treasure chests, talking animals, magical pictures and many more mythical objects. What you do to play is you go to the MagiQuest shop and get a magic wand that activates the magical objects. After you have your wsand you go to a talking tree, there you'll learn how to play the game. As you go through the hotel you are put on quest's such as the great wolf quest, the dragon adventure and you go find magical runes that get you points during the game. The whole point of the game is to complete all the quests, adventures and find all the runes. As you find these runes or master these quests and adventures you level up from student magi to Master Magi which is the highest rank in the game. This is just a game you can do just to keep yourself occupied while your at the Great Wolf Lodge. This is what the game MagiQuest is all about. The game is like a magical wonderland of action and adventure. Now I'll talk about the hotel itself.

Body Paragraph 3:The hotel is amazing place filled with many animals. The hotel was like a forest filled with tiny little critter's.It has many different stores, food, and rooms. One of the stores is the gift shop. The gift shop's carries many different items from fake pooping wolves to shirts and sweatshirts. Where you get breakfast and dinner is The Loose Moose Cottage. The eatery is as good as american apple pie. Having French toast for breakfast and Cheeseburgers for dinner was a great taste of savory flavors in every bite. Finally, our room that we got was the Kids Kabin(thats how the spell it at the Great Wolf Lodge) had many drawings on the walls, little animals crawling out of the walls, comfy beds and TV of course. P.S. the animals are painted too. The biggest room out of all the rooms is the Wolf Den. I snuck my head in an empty one and it had two bedrooms, two bathes and a kitchen. It was like and apartment room.

Conclusion:Well I hope you enjoyed hearing about the Great Wolf Lodge as much as I liked telling you about it. The Great Wolf Lodge is a great place for families and friends to go visit. By the way, if you go water park first no matter what.
